What happens when creativity and pen-art combines with a good cause? The result is a brilliant advertising campaign by Sports Association for the Handicapped. The latter’s campaign comprise 3 adverts: all neat, simple, refreshing and effective. Congratulations to the artist who drew these line-drawings. One of the posters seems to be done by using ink-press technique.
Even more touching are the slogans:
1) Yes, running is good for the heart,
2) One foot can change someone’s life. Remember Cinderella? AND
3) Exactly when can you help us? Ready, set, go!
July 24th, 2008Snickers for Your Monstrous Hunger

When hunger strikes, it can turn you into a monster…a shark! The reality is for a chocolate bar, I can convert into anything even a bacterium, if at the end I get to dig my teeth in the heavenly stuff! ![]()
Agency NoS BBDO (Warsaw) has created this lovely print advert for Mars, Inc. featuring Snickers Super which reads “For the beast of a hunger”.

July 20th, 2008Your Hands Risk Being Very Busy with Virgins!

Mobile phones are penetrative; there’s no denying to it. They occupy our bedroom space aswell but to the limit as been exaggerated by Virgin mobile? We need to think about it.
July 20th, 2008It can Lock Your Life Even- Masterlock Hippies Advert!
Locks are meant to be tough. But this much? Well, indeed it’s Masterlock! The print advert titled Hippies for advertiser Masterlock is done by agency FoxP2 (Cape Town, South Africa). The advert is full of wry humor with (as you can very well see) human skeletons chained to a tree with the product being advertised. The message gets accentuated with the tagline saying,” Tough Enough For Any Job.” I quite liked the way the ad is being executed. A breakaway from boring adverts about locks & their keys. July 8th, 2008ADESF: Lid Beholds 2055!
Smoking kills! We all know that. Perhaps that’s why it’s so difficult to come up with innovative quit-smoking message. But, agency Neogama/BBH (São Paulo, Brazil) has a penchant for doing difficult works with a style! The poster ads it did for ADESF, the organization known for its anti-smoking campaigns, are a lucid example. The advert steals our attention with the tagline, “In 2055, yogurt lids will finally work.
Live to see it. Quit smoking”. The message is wrapped up in a simple satire for the smokers and chain smokers of the world. Now it’s for them to decide!

Arty and interesting! This was my first response to Renault Clio Campus: Really Economical print adverts.
My second response would be ‘Hey these ads are damn witty as well!” J
Advertiser: RENAULT; Brand name: RENAULT CLIO; Category: Cars
The advertising campaign is designed by agency- NEOGAMA BBH (Brazil)
Ad design: these artistically done poster ads depict spirals. Houses are lined on these spirals, the roads are also on these spirals and Renaults are moving on these spirals! Why Spirals? If you remember that in old classical movies whenever, the hero/heroine or any character remembers some veryyy old instance of past, the connoting symbol shown on the screen would be a spiral; cut, we have the past story moving in from of our eyes in the next shot! Symbolism used very deceptively.
July 5th, 2008Maximum Absorption: NIKOL Paper Towels- Grapes
We all know what paper towels are for. This simplicity of the product’s function makes it all the more difficult for a brand of paper towels to advertise about itself without coming across as being clichéd!
Nikol Paper towels might have also felt the same. Their latest print advert titled ‘Grapes’ bears a refreshingly simple design. The message is easily understood and being reinforced by the tagline ‘Maximum Absorption’.
Besides, the fresh green fruit delights the senses. A sober advert but an apt one!
June 30th, 2008Shield Sun: Use Coppertone Sunburn Protection
The Product: COPPERTONE Sun Care

A sunscreen that protects you from harmful UV says of the sun whether you are basking on a beach or lazily lying down in your lawn. Remember when outside don’t forget to “Protect yourself” (product’s tagline).
The Agency: DM9JaymeSyfu, Manila.
Ad type: Print Adverts: two posters titled Coppertone sunburn protection: Park, Beach.
Ad design: Simple & Effective. A beach poster and a park poster. The common entities in the 2 print ads are: Sun, a capital C cutout and a human figure. Ofcourse not to mention the product name, logo and tag line!
A hug capital C cutout covers the resting lady/ man on the beach/park and effectively blocks sunrays falling on the lady/man. The hug C symbolizes Coppertone and the brand’s effective range of products. So, 10/10 for a neat design with absolute clarity of messageJ!

June 29th, 2008Surgical Solutions for Your Skin: Dr. Perea Plastic surgeon
Getting your skin and body parts fixed often requires going under the scalpel of a plastic surgeon. Mostly we find the adverts for these doctors and such clinics either in yellow pages or we learn about them through viral marketing. But, the June 2008 published print ads for Dr. Perea are a fresh sign in this area. The advertisements are created by one of the leading agency of today - McCann Erickson (Bogota, Colombia). The two adverts released are called Ring and Lubricant. Both the ads are tastefully designed keeping in mind the doctor’s clientele.
WWF China is concerned for their Pandas and natural assets beyond these furry animals.
To communicate this very concern to the common man, the organization has released 3 print advertisements. These ads are unique in their design and resemble work of high-art value. The ads are a way to spread the message of wholesome conservational approach of WWF in China. To restore the delicate freshwater ecosystem, the organization alongwith its several partners is involved in the work of reconnecting seventeen lakes with the main river Yangtze. The organization clearly speaks out, saving pandas in not its only mission.
To depict the harmony between this national animal and the rest of the ecosystem including rivers, lakes, forests and other forest dwellers the ads are accordingly designed. The posters bear black and white illustrations of a forest, lake and antelopes. In every poster panda is also present but in a more subtle manner only secondary to the object of the individual print ad. Must say, its great work clubbing art and concernJ. All kudos to the agency BBH China for making such beautiful print adverts!
