For a normal person blessed with all 5 senses working in sound condition what would be the experience of being visually handicapped for even a few minutes? KNGF Guidedogs and SpecSavers believe that this experience by a normal healthy person can change the life of a visually impaired one through charity. Together they have created a pair of sunglasses special for their NO VISION quality. The campaign for the company was designed by UbachsWisbrun JWT Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It involved the trying of sunglasses by prospective customers.

Hidden in the vast array of normal sunglasses were the pair of these special no vision sunglasses which when accidently tried upon by the customer will leave him/her with that insecure feeling of losing one’s sight. The purpose of this activity is to raise awareness among people and the price tag reveals about the SpecSavers’ sponsorship of KNGF Guidedogs. This promo which will run for several days in all the eighty SpecSavers stores is expected to create more sponsors and donors for the good cause.

A lot if happening in the OOH (Out of Home) advertising front. It seems anyone wants to grab maximum attention by coming up with innovative ideas in the space on and above streets. Now look at these mega fabricated books on pole kiosks…aren’t they more interesting to look at than a yellow pages ad on a new book store? Books & Beyond has come up with such innovative outdoors. It is a new vertical by Spencer’s Retail and offers an amazing range of books. This is not all the store also sells toys, stationary and gift items. Music lovers can also visit the store for selected music and home videos from Music World.

The Lush – fresh handmade cosmetics company believes in minimalism it seems! The company’s philosophy of “Conscious Packaging” includes packaging of materials/ products on a strictly necessary basis. In this age where a lot of waste is being generated only by packaging discards itself, the philosophy sure looks great! But how to tell this to your consumers? So, Lush came up with this advertising in aprons campaign where in employees (permanent or hired, I’m not sure on that!) wear only aprons during their duty time! That’s why you see the naked bums of young ladies in the photo above. When I first saw It I thought the store is following the footsteps of Comfort’s nudist ad campaign. But I was wrong! Because the company believes everything else is superfluous so its employees must wear the bare necessary clothing rather packaging to promote this new idea! Wow!

Class and Style are being splashed across New Zealand as the Chandelier Billboard for Ford G Series comes on display. When it comes to ultra-luxe cars, the automobile maker knows how to make it well as well as, how to project it well! Bringing alive the dream of Ford Company JWT New Zealand has created this rather unique billboard with special lighting effects that highlight the glamour, glitz and sophisticated style of the G series. For this, the agency got in touch with Bootleg to produce some special chandeliers which were artistically placed over the billboard. These bright chandeliers add to the charm of the latest car model being advertised during night time.

Creating advertisements on toys for children might be considered a child’s play by some. But a lot of thought goes into it is reflected by the controversial ad campaign of Toys R Us. The print adverts are rather different showing not cutie-pies with their toys but harsh realities of a soldier’s life in Iraq. The campaign is titled “Troops Out of Iraq”. While info on credits of the ads is not available to me, I can say one thing for sure, the ads for toy guns are given a very mature treatment. The visuals do move you…but will these be effective on children remains to be tested! However their parents might opt for Toys R Us in good faith and concern for those soldiers who couldn’t make it back home.

Showing off a lady’s assets has never been as massive in size as the one seen on a billboard on London’s Tottenham Court Road. Wonderbra has launched its nouveau D-G range in a grand style displaying the cleavage of thousands of women who participated for this advertising campaign. This huge campaign started 2 months ago with the company’s viral video asking women to participate for it whatever be their size. Those who visited the brand’s microsite (wonderbra.co.uk/world) along with those who participated in the open photoshoot in London seem to be more than happy getting their own ‘Eva moment’. Such collective ‘Eva moments’ of ordinary women were artistically arranged to cover the whole billboard. The whole idea of Wonderbra was to get connected to its consumers at the most basic level and create something unique out of such an interaction!

Guide Dogs can add a whole lot of meaning to somebody’s life! This outdoor campaign speaks for it self. Designed by JWT UbachsWisbrun (Netherlands), the guide dogs of the advertising campaign are strategically incorporated in bus-stop shelters. While the idea is simple and well placed what is missing is a word or two. The message in this advert is only visual. It would have been smart to have included a few words on the organization which provides these guide dogs, how these dogs cater to the needs of special individuals with a certain kind of handicap or how one can procure them for their ailing family members /relatives. A small message would have added stars to this fairly-well thought out outdoor. Nevertheless you cant ignore this outdoor even if you are not impressed by it!
