My father always tells me, “A person can make his destiny with his own hands”. Well,
I m still in process of shaping mine but here I came across a wonderful ad campaign by Audi for its new release Quattro’s road handling system. The brainhand (in this case I wont say brainchild :D) behind the campaign is London’s BBH. The latter came up with print ads and a TVC which juice up a mundane topic like road grip technology by creatively employing objects like a slippery fish, a frog, hammer, crumpling paper, a sponge, an egg, soap, a small bird, a cricket ball & a bowling ball and hands (ofcourse!) in the execution of ad(s). The message is driven home effectively with the punchline: “Independent grip, intelligently applied”. Before you watch the ad film here are some prints and the credits for this entire campaign.

Despite so many efforts by environmentalists, illegal animal skin trade is flourishing. The latter is depleting the numbers of exotic species world over. And a big reason for this trade to do well is the fact that the consumer at the end of supply chain comprises of people like you and me who go out on trips and buy exotic animal souvenirs from places like South Africa, Venezuela, and Afghanistan etc. Targeting such travelers, tourists and customers is the latest print advert from WWF called BLOOD. Designed by LOWE GGK (Warsaw, Poland) the visuals of the print intelligently show how a single purchase of animal souvenir makes you guilty of a poor animal’s murder. The blood splattered on the path inside airport being left by the trolley displays a disturbing truth.
The headline of the ad appeals you: “Don t buy exotic animal souvenirs.” The ad is well executed and here’s hoping that it creates the needful impact to make a significant difference in the scenario of poaching of exotic animals. The credit for the advertisement goes to:
Creative Directors: Kinga Grzelewska, Marcin Nowak,
Art Directors: Giedymin Jabłoński, Maciek Trybek,

Freedom of expression is such a vital entity in our lives. But some of us have to pay a huge price for it. In past few years, 500+ journalists have been incarcerated / killed. The print advertisement from Stern makes this fact clear in a stark manner. In terms of visuals (alone), this is one of the most powerful adverts I have ever come across! A journalist’s ID card tied in form of a suicidal noose, says it all! Stern fights for the freedom of pres and through this ad, it wants to raise as much public awareness as possible and calls for public help. But, one major flaw, no where in the body copy it has been mentioned whom one should contact if one wishes to help!
The creative agency responsible for this ad is Grabarz und Partner, Germany and the following people have contributed in the making of this print:
Ralf Heuel, Patricia Pätzold (Creative Directors); Michael Rudnicki (Copywriter)
Karen Grashorn, Melanie Landwehr (Art Directors); Sven Glage (Photographer)
Ina Bach (Other additional credits)

It’s quite difficult at times to known what’s inside a young lad/gal’s mind. Ask parents! But it seems Los Inrockuptibles has a clue. The magazine for youth covering areas like Movies, Music& Books have come up with some witty print adverts as a part of its latest campaign to woo young readers. The prints titled Dog, Scooter and Stairs are designed by DDB (Buenos Aires, Argentina). All of them show the upstairs of youngsters being open after a severe fall. Interestingly (& jocularly) what splatters on the road are music tapes, books etc.! The refreshingly different visuals clearly nail the message down in the minds of viewers that its Los Inrockuptibles that resides in young heads :).

Well, here are the credits:
Advertising Agency: DDB, Buenos Aires, Argentina; Executive Creative Directors: Hernan Jauregui, Pablo Battle
Creative Directors: Mariano Jeger, Felipe Vieyra
Copywriter: Nicolas Chiesa; Art Director: Nicolas Chusarolo
Photographer: Juansalvarredy; Illustrator: Copypaste
Account Supervisor: Diego Blanco; Advertiser’s Supervisor: Carlos Taran

A dent on your car is like a scar on your face! It can be fixed but usually the traces can be seen. But worry not Wagstaffe Car Insurance will take care of your car dents. The ad campaign for the company emphatically points out that Wagstaffe is an expert in erasing out dents so efficiently as if nothing had happened at the first place! The prints intelligently depict so using apt visuals and a strong tagline, “Like it never happened”. A bump into a tree/lamppost/corner can be devastating but the continued car tracks shown in the adverts reinforce the message albeit in a indirect manner. Had the taut tagline not been there, the ad visuals would have been sufficiently confusing!

These clever adverts are done by Rethink (Vancouver, Canada) and here are the credits:
Chris Staples, Ian Grais- Creative Directors,
Yusong Zhang- Art Director,
Simon Bruyn- Copywriter,
Anthony Redpath- Photographer,
Jonathon Ceasar- Retoucher.

Your man loves to look at you. But are you concerned is he looking at the places that you don’t want him to look at? Like your upper lips! Well, if ignoring them were so easy then more than half of the world’s female population wouldn’t have gone crazy for getting them threaded or bleached! Addressing this issue in an innovative manner, the print advert of Novopelle hits its target audience (read females) right at the face. The strategically placed body copy says it all!
“A closet full of low-cut blouses. Countless hours at the gym. A small fortune in pushup bras. And he can t stop staring at my upper lip.” The ad is made by agency C&G. The world of advertising and marketing is acknowledging women today like never before. From the targeting of products at the fairer sex to making ads specially for ladies, even designing ad campaigns for products like SUV’s and laptops with a feminine edge to them is the upcoming trend these days. Carrying the trend further are the print adverts of SAB Millers new product Redd’s- an alcoholic beverage targeting urban women in Vietnam.
The advertisers are capitalizing on the fact that rising standards of living coupled with raised education standards and increased freedom and mobility in the current Vietnamese society (which respects the modern sensibilities of women) will lead to an easy acceptance of their product (Redd’s beer) in the market. The ad campaign thus features adverts titled Pee, Masturbation and Sleep.
These 3 ads unleash some of the deep seated dark secrets which are absurd realities of an woman’s life! (some things that Vietnamese ladies cant utter otherwise). But with drinking in public being a common sight now it seems these ads capture the “we-have-arrived” mood of the pretty young ladies in Vietnam. Here are the credits:
