The company which gave the slogan “A Diamond is For Ever” to the world makes an entry into the realm of creative advertising. Using 25,000 Red Roses the company has splashed a huge signboard displaying the slogan in flower font. This was an attempt to reemphasize on the supreme status of diamond as a gift option for your girlfriend/ wife. That diamonds are a girls best friend is well known but these precious stones are also known for their price!
Nevertheless to bring them back in vogue as the ultimate gift option for the one whom you love so much De Beers used the classic love symbol-red roses for this outdoor. Here’s an interesting video giving more insights into the whole exercise.

We have all seen what a sight the Beijing Olympics’ inauguration ceremony was! And it delights me to share this lovely ad film with all my readers. Based on the fervor of these mega games and comprising lovely animation, cute birdies and peppy music; the commercial from Coca Cola is a must-see video. The spirit of these games is such that even birds are affected deeply! So, they fly at different places to collect red and white straws from coke bottles and build a nest for themselves resembling the Bird’s Nest Stadium on a nearby tree overlooking the spectacular building. How wonderfully creative is the idea! Created by Wieden + Kennedy (Amsterdam), the advert is truly par excellence. The artwork, sound & music, theme…just about everything in this ad is so delightful that you really want to Live Olympic on the Coke Side of Life!

Candy Feet, Sweet Candies & Love between two friends…these are the components of the new Skittles: Feet Advert. A curly haired dude wrapped in yellow cardigan says to another, “I’m your friend because you are really a good person”. Then onwards, one expects pretty much the same idea of sweet innocent friendship (read gay love) propelled by Skittles!
While the ad is deliberately crafted in the comedy genre, its silly dialogues and visuals hardly throw you into peals of laughter. I have no objections on the casting of this one, for a sweet candy can be effectively advertised and sold without using celebrities but the spot lacks value in terms of script.
Also, what I’m wondering at is, if Skittles is a sweet candy for adults then definitely, the advert could have been done in a more mature manner. And if the product is for kids, then certainly the weird commercial has nothing to offer to our tiny-tots! The TV spot definitely lacks a certain tautness which reflects in good commercials that have their messages in sync with the products image (“Grow the Rainbow, Taste the Rainbow” in this case) and the aspirations of the target audience. Anyway, in today’s time when many adverts are made will a daring spirit but end up in the trashcan, this one won’t make much of a difference! Or will it?

Greenpeace Germany tells you how your love and a bit of an outdoor mushy stuff can save world’s green cover- forests. It has launched a mission for all you people who love to Love and who love the diverse beauty of a forest. To encourage you is the ‘forest love spot’ – a very suggestive video which displays human passion and love- how we just loose ourselves in these wonderful lush forests. All you have to do is take pictures or make videos of yourself or your friends spreading the love in a forest. Then submit your work (pics) in the Flickr group or posts your green videos there. Winners will be featured in a Greenpeace video that will be shown to the EU commission. So go ahead spread love and passion…and SAVE FORESTS for our future. And before you call your sweetheart for a photo shoot have a look at the video underneath!

You wouldn’t have seen such an exciting video about Lions on Big Cat Dairy (BBC) or on Discovery Channel, as you will in this Samsung Camera advert. This ad film video tapes the activity of mighty lions and all that happens in a day’s work. Agreed, at first I was a bit taken back because of my honed skills at watching such programs on various wildlife channels. But, I could stop laughing when the video takes an unprecedented twist! In simple words, just go ahead and enjoy the ad which delivers a covert message about the product (Samsung NV24HD digicam). Read in between lines and you will learn what the 30fps feature of this model can do!

Shoot it. Show it. Store it. That’s what Canada based Henry s digital camera/video store wants you to do. The store has an amazing range of products – digi cams, SLR’s, Palm corders, Camcorders, Light meters, Lenses, Photo & Video accessories, Apple softwares and a rang of other products like DIY books on photography, iPods etc. Henry has just launched a magazine print ad campaign featuring 3 print adverts. The advertisements are designed by creative director Chris Hillier of agency STUDENT. These are simple adverts featuring a new breed of photographers not necessarily amateurs because they use Henry’s cameras! Ads are titled Photogs.
